Information campaign against work-related crime launched!

“Let’s stop people being exploited at work” This is the focal message in the information initiative that the Swedish Tax Agency, together with seven other authorities, is now launching. The information campaign runs until the end of November, four information films will be shown on TV and social media.

The goal of the campaign is to deepen the public’s knowledge and influence attitudes to working life crime. When companies or organizations deliberately break different kinds of rules in working life, we call it working life crime. It could be that they break rules on the working environment, take part in benefits to which they are not entitled, do not pay taxes and fees or let people work who do not have a work permit in Sweden. This type of crime leads to people being exploited, to companies not being able to compete on equal terms and to tax money going to companies that are not entitled to them.

The authorities behind the campaign initiative that works against work-related crime are: the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Environmental Crime Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, the Swedish Police and the Swedish Tax Agency.
